- Sing to God! Sing praises to his name!
Extol him who rides on the clouds:
to Yah, his name!
Rejoice before him!
A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows,
is God in his holy habitation. - But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
- If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are.
- For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God.
- The Rock: his work is perfect,
for all his ways are just.
A God of faithfulness who does no wrong,
just and right is he. - For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
